Aloha, on behalf of the Kama ‘Ohana I humbly ask for donations to help support the family during this devastating time. Like many others, the Kama family’s household/vehicles were burnt down during the fire in Lahaina leaving them to evacuate with a total of 6 children, 5 of those children are the ages of 3 years old and under.
They are descendants of the Kama Kaaiawahia , Kaniho Ohana. Like the song Lahaina grown, “From Olowalu to Napili we know your family from the mountain to the sea.” They are tied to every family on West Maui.
If you know any of the Kama’s then I’m sure they’ve left a soft spot in your heart. A family of loving, selfless, comedians. The laughing and story time with this family has no end. Always, always, always willing to give, love, and open up their home to you.
Gabriel Kama (husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather) worked at a young age in the plantations to give his family the very home that was burnt down. They family has been in the house for over 50 years (since 1968). Three generations were raised in that home & everything was lost. The physical structure may be gone, but the memories they have will live on forever.
During this time of processing, healing, and restoration, it was hard for them to ask for donations but like many other families, they are in need to help them get back on their feet.
We truly appreciate any and everything you are able to give. At this time, between siblings, they are caring for 6 keiki (children) and 1 more is expected to arrive next month.
•Sanai (9 years old)
•Kyna (3 years old)
•Moti (1 year old)
•Konan (1 year old)
•Bam (8 months old)
•Killian (3 months old)
•Baby girl due next month
Please, if there is anything you’re able to give, please do. Help this ‘Ohana start the process of rebuilding.
From the Kama family “Our story is greater than words can express . Please help us restore what was taken from us.”
