Geoff Bogar is a long time Maui paddler and recently retired from 35 years as a Lahaina fireman & captain. Geoff is one of the founding members of MPH (Maui Paddling Hui) and has helped in various capacities over the years. Geoff and Shannon lost their home and more sadly, their longtime friend and roommate Franklin Trejos, who died in a car along with their family dog trying to escape the fire. Geoff was sent to Straub medical center on Oahu for treatment for severe burns to his arms after crawling away from a car that wouldn't start.

Hello. My name is Minsolnya (Jessica) Bogar, and I’m making this gofundme on behalf of my parents Shannon Weber-Bogar and Geoffrey Bogar, who have lost everything in the Lahaina fire - their home, their best friend, everything.
Their home has burnt to the ground, with all of their belongings, vehicles, and memories. There is nothing left.
My father, Geoffrey Bogar, a newly retired Firefighter and Fire Captain of 35+ years at the Lahaina Fire Department, is currently admitted to the Straub Burn Unit on O’ahu to be treated for very severe burns on his arms, forearms and hands, with minor burns to his face, that he received when escaping the fire. We don’t know how long he will be admitted for, the doctors are unsure, but I do know they will need help with the medical bills that will come, and they will need all of the help they can get to even begin to try and rebuild their lives after this horrible tragedy.
My dad lost his hometown of Lahaina, he and my mother lost their home, their dog, and they lost their best friend Frank Trejos to the Lahaina fires, and anything that anyone would be willing to donate will help them be able to pay for medical expenses and treatment for my father, as well as help them attempt to rebuild their lives.
